Confirmation
2014 -It
is now time for young and older who have not been confirmed to think about it
seriously. Bishop Michael will expect indications of numbers and venues by
September 2013. I prefer that those wishing to be confirmed to indicate their
desire to me personally. In confirmation we affirm our Baptismal Vows for
ourselves, so each step towards it should be a personal decision. Four young people have, so far, asked to be confirmed.

Confirmation 2012
Confirmation Service in St Paul’s Church, Piltown on Sunday, 17th June 2012 @ 3.30pm – If you would like the bishop to lay hands on you in affirmation of your faith at this Service, please talk to the Rector.
The candidates from this parish received Holy Communion on Easter Day, before their confirmation, in accordance with the BCP rubric which has said since 1662 that they may as they were “desirous of being Confirmed”. It was for them , and their families, a very important occasion and was done as it should be as part of hte normal act of worship on the most important festival of the church’s year in the presence of family and fellow parishioners. Welcome to the Lord’s table to Tristan, Emily Ciara & Ellen

Confirmation 2011 –
The bishop has set the dates for next year’s Confirmation Services. We will be part of the service planned for Sunday, 21st May 2011 in Lismore Cathedral. One person has indicated their desire to be confirmed so far. Please give the Rector a ring or speak to her after Church soon – we will need to begin classes immediately after Christmas. If you are in 6th class or older (it’s never too late) and have not been confirmed ask now! – If you have not been baptised & would like to be and then confirmed, just have a word with me!!

Confirmation -
Our seven candidates have made a very good beginning to their preparation for Confirmation. It appears that there may not be any candidates in either Lismore or fiddown parishes, if that is the case the Confirmation Service will take place in Old St. Mary’s on Sunday, 27th June @ 3.00pm – a little uncertain, but we hope we will have the opportunity to celebrate this landmark in the young peoples’ lives in their own parish.
